Pathways to SC07

The Pathways to SC(07|09) effort represents the mentality of the SC Education Program. Education events continue throughout the year, culminating in the SC07 conference at Reno, Nevada in November. In this way, communities are encouraged to grow and branch out, and then gather at the SC07 Conference both to incorporate new members as well as discuss what methods for education have been most successful.

The Pathways effort includes:

• Week-long summer workshops around the country starting the summer before SC07
• Regular spring and fall visits to campuses for workshops, one-on-one consulting, and working with administrators
• Mentoring of faculty and students
• On-line mentoring, resources, seminars, tutorials, etc.
• Course materials development by faculty
• Posting of materials to ACM and NSF digital libraries, such as
